What are heat pumps
Is a heating system which saves us much more money compared with traditional systems. Traditional heating systems use fossil fuels. A heat pump system works much more efficiently and saves more energy. You only pay a small amount of power, but it's an investment that pays off. From 1 kW of electricity Daikin Altherma produces 3 to 5 kW available heat.
How a heat pump works
The heat pump adjusts the room temperature through heat transfer. The heat pump consists of three main components: the external unit (evaporator), the internal unit (or internal) (condenser) and the refrigerant. The refrigerant transfers the heat as it circulates between the external and internal unit (s).
1.The evaporator extracts energy from the renewable source (air, water, geothermal or solar), forcing the liquid to turn into a gas. 2. The compressor compresses the gas, which increases its temperature.
3.The condenser exchanges the heat from the gas into the heating system and the gas returns to the liquid state. 4. The thermoectonic valve reduces the coolant pressure, which activates the exhaust and the cycle starts all over again. 5. We simply reversed this cycle with the sole purpose of cooling your home!

A heat pump doesn't have a heat source (the outside air), two heat exchangers (one for absorption and one for the release of heat) and a relatively small amount of kinetic energy to continue the system operation. A heat pump absorbs thermal energy from the environment. In the case of Daikin Altherma, the source is the external air. The pump extracts the heat at a certain temperature, increases that temperature and then attaches to an instrument, which in the case of your system Daikin Altherma is the circulating water in the bodies of low temperature, the underfloor heating system or units of fan coil. Between these two means, the heat flows through a fluid.
