The Program " exoikonomisi katoikon II " provides, under certain conditions, financial incentives, in order for property owners to undertake energy upgrading of their house.

Eligible categories of assistance:

• Replacing Frames.
• Thermal insulation installation/upgrade
• Heating / cooling system upgrade
• Hot water system using renewable energy sources

Subsidy Categories

Depending on the beneficiaries ' income, the subsidy is divided into the following seven categories:

The programme, depending on the category of each beneficiary, covers part of the total expenditure. The liquidity needed to implement the interventions can be secured through bank loans on preferential terms. In particular, the loan will be interest-free and lasting 4, 5 or 6 years.

If no loan has been selected, the beneficiary will not receive an advance. After completion of the work and the second energy inspection, the beneficiary will have to submit the documentation of expenses on credit to be calculated according to his income the amount of the grant as well as the amount of own funds. After payment of the amount of own funds, the grant is disbursed by direct payment of the contractors/suppliers to their bank account by the financial institution.

The economic benefits gained by the beneficiaries is important, since improving the performance of their residence, greatly reduce the costs of their daily lives without making the slightest discount on their needs.

In order to be included in the programme, the following conditions must be met, according to the National Entrepreneurship and Development Fund :

The right to participate in the Program are only natural persons who have right of ownership (full or bare) ownership or usufruct to an eligible residence and meet the income criteria of the categories provided.

Of the eligible dwellings within townhouses and condominiums provided they are used as dwellings, carry planning permission, subject to the basis of the Energy Performance Certificate in a category lower than or equal to "D" and have not been judged demolished.

The eligible budget of interventions, may not exceed 250 euros per square meter useful floor area of the dwelling as shown by the Energy Performance Certificate, with a maximum of 25,000 euros including V.A.T.
